Will the Ministry of Communications be transparent?
Iskender Tagiyev has been appointed a person responsible for the Freedom of Information in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Azerbaijan.
As the official portal of the ministry (http://mincom.gov.az/qanunvericilik/emrler/#) reads, this was dine in order to ensure the execution of items of the "National Action Plan for the Promotion of Open Government for 2012-2015", approved by the President.
The order of the Minister Ali Abbasov approved the rules of internal execution related to freedom of information.
Rules stipulate the right of persons to make an inquiry for information, forms, information, registration requests, methods and timelines, responsibilities of the Ministry, as the owner of the information, and more.
In the years 2010-12 the Communications Ministry officials did not respond to any official request Turan, and its reporters are not invited even to common activities for journalists. -17D-
