With Support of Bank Respublika Azerbaijan Marks World Savings Day for Two Years
From October 31, during the month in Azerbaijan with the support of Bank Respublika at the initiative of the Centre for Research and Development of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) under the "Financial Literacy" will be observed the International Day of Savings. The event is dedicated to this date will be held for a month.
In addition to the Central Bank, the organizers of this project are Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF), the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, the German Foundation for International Cooperation Savings Banks and 9 commercial banks in the country.
Improving financial literacy and gain confidence in the banks is one of the priorities of the Central Bank, which conducts systematic measures in this direction. The main target group of this year is students and young families.
During the month, the Bank staff will visit schools, conduct a meeting with the students and tell them about the benefits of saving money, and will also hold quizzes and competitions. Especially they prepared gifts such as "The book on personal budgeting of a schoolchild", ??T-shirts and baseball caps and backpacks with the logo of the Savings Day.
It should be noted that the International Savings Day was first recorded in October 1924 at the International Congress, held with the participation of representatives from 29 countries in the Italian city of Milan. In our country, this day was celebrated for the first time in 2012 at the initiative of the Central Bank, with the support of Bank Respublika. -15D--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
