Azerbaijani-Turkish Energy Forum is being held in Nakhchivan
Baku/29.09.23//Turan: The next, third Azerbaijani-Turkish energy forum and the first international conference "Nakhchivan – Green Energy Zone" is being held on September 28-29 in Nakhchivan.
"The Third Azerbaijani-Turkish Energy Forum and the first international conference "Nakhchivan - Green Energy Zone" have been organized in Nakhchivan," the statement of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
On the first day of the event, meetings of joint working groups working in the fields of hydrocarbon and petrochemical products, energy efficiency, the electricity market, distribution and transmission of electricity, energy regulation, the use of renewable energy sources and the mining industry were held.
On the second day - September 29 – the Third Azerbaijani-Turkish Energy Forum and the International Conference "Nakhchivan - Green Energy Zone" will be held with the participation of the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Alparslan Bayraktar.
The event will include plenary sessions on the energy transition, the "green" energy zone, the "green" energy potential of Nakhchivan and other topics, as well as speeches by a number of high-ranking officials of both countries.
The Azerbaijani-Turkish Energy Forum was established to further strengthen strategic energy cooperation within the framework of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the two countries.
The first forum was held on December 21-22, 2021 in Baku, and the second forum was held on October 5-6, 2022 in Istanbul. –0-

The European Union (EU) has warned participants at the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29) in Baku that any backsliding on the commitments made last year at COP 28 in Dubai regarding the transition away from fossil fuels would be unacceptable. The EU insists that a similar commitment be included in the final decisions of this year’s conference.
