The State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has started supplying natural gas to industrial enterprises in Bulgaria, SOCAR reports.

The Czech Republic sees the potential to increase the supply of Azerbaijani oil and gas to the region of Central and Eastern Europe, Petr Binhack, Director for Energy Strategy and International Cooperation at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade told journalists. "The common goal of the EU and, in particular, the Czech Republic is to phase out Russian oil and gas supplies; and Azerbaijan's role is important in this process," Binhack stressed.

Current and future cooperation in the energy sector, energy transition and decarbonization were the topics of a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuri Gusev, the SOCAR press service published on social networks.

The annual capital expenditures of “Azerenergy” JSC in 2024-2025 will amount to about 340-350 million manats (200-210 million US dollars) compared to 696 million manats in 2023, which will lead to an annual positive amount of free operating cash, the report of the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings on the confirmation of long-term and short-term credit ratings of the issuer of “Azerenergy” JSC.
