Iran and the United States Receive Pakistani Ceasefire Plan, but Prospects Remain Uncertain

A court in Tbilisi has ordered the deportation of Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Sadygov to Azerbaijan, despite a prior ban by the European Court of Human Rights on his extradition, rights groups said. According to them, the decision was made early on Saturday after the journalist was detained late on April 4. At around 4 a.m. local time, the court authorized his deportation.

Donald Trump said on Saturday that the chances of reaching a last-minute agreement with Iran before the expiration of his 48-hour ultimatum were slim, even as indirect contacts between the two sides continue.
