Azerbaijan increases expenditures on debt servicing by 3 times

In the first half of 2024, expenditures on servicing public debt and liabilities in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 1,270.3 million. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance. According to the data, it is up by 2.95 times from the same period of 2023. That said, debt service expenses in January-June amounted to 7.9% of budget expenditures, which is up by 4.8 percentage points from a year earlier.
