Azerbaijan's cash currency market grows by 40%

In the first quarter of 2024, a transaction worth $1.4 billion was carried out in the cash currency market of Azerbaijan. This is stated in the "Monetary Policy Review" published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan for the quarter. According to the document, this is up by 40% from the same period of 2023. Recall that 91.6% of cash currency transactions are made in dollars, 8.4% in other currencies.
