Currency sales to Azerbaijani banks grow by 2 times

In May 2024, the State Oil Fund (SOFAR), with its participation, sold $558.6 million at currency auctions organized by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. This is reported by the CBA. According to the data, this is up by 2 times from May 2023. Given this, in January-May this year, the currency in Azerbaijani banks amounted to $3,017.8 million. This is up by 2 times from a year ago.
