Over $130 million transferred abroad from Azerbaijan in first quarter of 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, $131.5 million was transferred abroad from Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. According to the data, this is down by 0.7% from the same period of 2023. During the quarter, Turkey accounted for $38.6 million of cash taken out of the country. Remittances from that country grew by 13.1% over the past year, while the friendly country's share of remittances rose from 25.8% to 29.4%....
