Sales of foreign currency to Azerbaijani banks rise nearly 2 times

In March 2024, the State Oil Fund (SOFAR), with its participation, sold $ 498.3 million at currency auctions held by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. This is reported by the CBA. According to the data, this is up by 29.8% from the same period of 2023. In January-March this year, the volume of sales of SOFAR currency to banks amounted to $ 1,835.8 million dollars, which is up by 97.6% (nearly 2 times) from a year ago.
