Polish Politician Convicted of Spreading False Information About Azerbaijan
Polish politician Thomas Lech Buczek has been sentenced to three months in prison in Poland for disseminating false information regarding events in Karabakh. Buczek announced the sentence on social media, attributing it to his activities in fictitious "Artsakh", the release of Armenian prisoners, and support for Ruben Vardanyan.
In October 2023, Buczek posted on Twitter alleging that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had ordered the destruction of the "We Are Our Mountains" monument in Karabakh. The previous year, he also claimed to have "evidence of Azerbaijani war crimes".
