The Georgian President called the cancellation of the visa regime by Russia a provocation
Baku/10.05.23/Turan: Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has criticized the Kremlin's decision to cancel the visa regime for Georgian citizens and lift the ban on air flights to Georgia for Russian airlines, calling it another provocation by Russia.
The president stated that such measures are unacceptable as long as Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine and occupies Georgian territory. In a tweet, Zurabishvili called it "another Russian provocation" and stated that the restoration of direct flights and the lifting of visa restrictions are not acceptable while Russia continues its aggression.
This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin issued decrees today providing for the abolition of the visa regime with Georgia and the restoration of direct flights.
