After the sharp 19% jump in prices in December, in January, prices for construction materials in Baku remained stable.
After the 47% devaluation of the manat in December the construction market went into decline, as well as in other areas. Supply exceeds demand. Many sellers of building materials suffer losses because the goods were taken mainly on short-term credit and also sold on credit. Housing prices fell by 2-3 times.
It is expected that stagnation will continue in February on the background of low oil prices, the proceeds of which are the main catalyst for economic activity.
