During the period under review, an increased role of the Russian factor in Azerbaijan’s media agenda became evident.

During the reviewed period, the media agenda in Azerbaijan continued to be dominated by developments in the Middle East and, in this context, the impact of the regional crisis on Azerbaijan. Media outlets widely reported on expressions of gratitude from Tehran to Azerbaijan for assistance provided to Iranian pilgrims stranded abroad. At the same time, attention was drawn to the growing role of Azerbaijan as a logistical hub in the delivery of humanitarian aid to Iran.

During the period under review, Azerbaijan’s media agenda was shaped by a combination of technological, foreign policy, and legal developments. Central attention was given to advancements in energy infrastructure and the “green” transition, particularly the launch of the region’s first large-scale battery energy storage system. At the same time, media coverage focused on the deepening of strategic relations with China and the expansion of economic cooperation with the European Union.

During the period under review, Azerbaijan’s media agenda was shaped by the ongoing military escalation around Iran, intensified diplomatic activity in the Caspian region, and a range of domestic socio-economic and political developments. Central attention focused on foreign ministers’ contacts, discussions of regional security and environmental risks, and the potential implications of military actions for Caspian littoral states.
