Baku/24.10.22/Turan: Last week, 89 mines and 367 unexploded ordnance (UXO) were discovered and neutralized in the territories liberated from occupation, ANAMA (Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency) reported on Monday.
On October 17-22, operations to clear territories were carried out in Terter, Aghdam, Khojavend, Fuzuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Jabrayil and Zangilan regions.
As a result of the these works, 61 anti-personnel and 28 anti-tank mines, as well as 367 NBP were discovered and neutralized.
In total, 381 hectares of territory were cleared of mines and UXO during this period. --05D06--

On November 17, 1988 uninterrupted rallies began on the main square of Baku - "Azadliq" (former Lenin Square - ed.) with the demand to ensure the sovereignty over Karabakh. Norwegian Minister of International Development, Anne Beathe Tvinnereim, who traveled to Baku for COP29, met with political prisoner Gubad Ibadoglu, a professor at the London School of Economics and Dresden University of Technology, who is currently under police surveillance and under house arrest. Minister Tvinnereim, representing the Norwegian government, inquired about the restrictions imposed on Ibadoglu, his health condition, and the progress of the investigation into the charges against him.
