Abduction of Mahir Abdullayev Organized by Deputy National Security Minister?
Former Rector of the International University, Elshad Abdullayev, has unveiled a new video where he talks to the MNS officer Ilgar Abbasov on the fate of his kidnapped brother Mahir.
MNS officer says Mahir was met at the clinic of the Ministry. According to him, Mahir was arrested by police and charged with financing of the Musavat party and submitted to the Ministry of National Security, because he was a security officer.
However, the Minister of National Security, Eldar Mahmudov, wants to free Mahir, but he has to prove his innocence.
Next Ilgar Abbasov said that Mahir Abdullayev was registered at the clinic under the name of Iskender Akhmedov.
Elshad Abdullayev also announced the testimony of the witness Mammadali Aliyev, who personally saw Mahir entering the apartment of the singer Matanat Iskenderova in the morning on October 13, 2003.
Later, Deputy National Security Minister Hilal Assadov threatened him, demanding to refuse the testimony. These threats were repeated by the MNS general Akif Chovdarov, after which the witness refused to testify.
About all this the witness wrote in a complaint to the presidential administration. After that, the Head of Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev summoned Hilal Asadov and berated him, accused him of kidnapping. He also accused the general MNS of the detention of his brothel near the mountain village of Khinalig. This place is visited by wealthy people, who are offered prostitutes and then blackmailed through videos.
Note that these videos and testimony appeared on the Internet and the opposition press days ago. Since then, the Ministry of National Security has not commented on the accusations.
