Access to the RIA-Novosti website has been restored in Azerbaijan
Access to the website of the Russian state news agency RIA-Novosti has been unblocked in Azerbaijan. Access to the website of this media was blocked after RIA Novosti published an interview with the so-called "state minister" of the former separatist regime in Karabakh Artak Beglaryan in June 2022. Baku regarded this publication as not respecting the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan by the Russian state media.
Baku expressed an official protest through diplomatic channels, after which Beglaryan's interview was removed from the RIA-Novosti website, but access to the agency's Internet resource remained blocked.

On February 3, the trial of public activist Nijat Ibrahim will begin in the Baku Serious Crimes Court. This decision was made on Wednesday at a preparatory hearing by Judge Aygun Gurbanova. According to lawyer Zibeida Sadigova, Ibrahim was taken to court in handcuffs. There were guards sitting next to him throughout the whole process.
