After the EU border mission, Yerevan wants an international mission in the Lachin corridor and Karabakh
Baku/07.03.23/Turan: Sending an international group of observers to the Lachin corridor and Nagorno-Karabakh is becoming a vital necessity, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Tuesday, receiving the French co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Brice Rokfey.
According to Pashinyan's press service, he drew Rokfey's attention to the fact of a "sabotage attack" by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on local policemen.
Calling the actions of the Azerbaijanis "terrorism," he accused Azerbaijan of "terrorizing" the Armenians of Karabakh "in order to carry out ethnic cleansing."
"In the current realities, sending an international fact-finding team to the Lachin corridor and Nagorno-Karabakh is becoming a vital necessity," he continued.
The sides stressed the importance of the EU civil mission in Armenia, which contributes to stability and peace in the region, the message reads. ---02D---
