Ali Gyulalyev, son of human rights activist, Oktay Gyulalyev, told Turan news agency the details of his interrogation today by police at his home.
First three police officers entered home and said they would like to get more information about the incident on September 23, when Ali was beaten and stabbed by four unknown.
"They came at about 11.30 am, without presenting any documents, but among them was the investigator who took my testimony earlier, Ali said. The tone of the conversation was normal and the questions were on that case, but then one of them called someone and said that his father is not at home; in 15 minutes two more men in civilian entered the house."
Oktay Gyulalyev, who is also the head of the press center of Staff of the presidential candidate of the National Council of the Democratic Forces, was at that time in the Court of Appeal of Shirvan, where he defended the rights of the victims of the floods.
After that, according to Ali, the police began to threaten him, demanding to admit about beating some Bayram Sultanli, and that he is misleading the investigation.
"One of them raised his hand to me with his fist and threatened to poke my eyes out if I did not give them the necessary evidence, said Ali. My father called and demanded them to leave the house, and not to interrogate without the presence of a guardian, but they continued their questioning in a rude form." The police was stayed at home for almost an hour. “When the police was leaving, they said threateningly, that they would summon me to the office, and make me give evidences.”
The police actions were immediately made public through media and social networking. Chairman of the National Helsinki Citizens' Assembly, Arzu Abdullayeva informed the U.S. Ambassador Richard Mornigstar about what happened.
The embassy had a consultation with the Office of the President, Arzu Abdullayeva told Turan agency. The Head of the legal issues and legal review Department of the Presidential Administration, Shahin Aliyev, promised to take measures to prevent violations of the law by the police in this matter.--0--

The police officers who broke into the house of Oktay Gyulalyev are making O. Gyulalyev’s son, Ali, testify against another person, unrelated to the attack on him, Turan was told by Gyulalyev. The policemen, using the absense of the parents of the young man, broke into the house and made him testify under pressure.
But, 16 year-old Ali refused to testify against the man, who was not among those who attacked him on the evening of September 23.
O.Gyulalyev reported that police struck and insulted his son. They have not left the flat yet, and the grandmother and younger brother of Ali are very scared.
Replying to the request from Turan to comment on the situation, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the situation is “being investigated.”—06D-
