Ali Hasanov Threatens Russia
Ali Hasanov, Head of Sociopolitical Department of the Presidential Administration, commented on the circumstances relating to Orkhan Zeynalov in Moscow over the past few days. He told reporters that regardless of who committed a crime, it should be investigated in the framework of the law.
"However, this process should not be the impetus to form negative opinions about foreigners living in this country and engaged in legitimate work, any restriction of the rights of the people, or their business activities," said Ali Hasanov.
He described as “inadequate” the measures taken by law enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation, and accused Russian media of "inciting passions.”
"All of this can become a boomerang and create conditions for unwanted processes for the Russian society," said the chief ideologue of the Azerbaijani authorities.
At a briefing, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Elman Abdullayev said it is having talks with Russia to meet with Orkhan Zeynalov. According to him, mistreatment and presenting him as a criminal, is a violation of the presumption of innocence. "The incident took place on the domestic reason,” said Abdullayev.
According to him, Orkhan Zeynalov will be provided necessary consular assistance. -16D04-
