Aliyev Accepts Credentials of Ambassadors from Slovenia and Guinea
On Monday, President Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of Gorazd Renčel, the new Ambassador of Slovenia to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the parties expressed hope for the dynamic development of political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Slovenia. It was noted that a meeting of the working group on economic cooperation will take place in the near future.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the energy sector. The supply of Azerbaijani gas to the Slovenian market was considered an important step in the development of bilateral ties. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
On the same day, Aliyev received the credentials of Umar Kande, the new Ambassador of Guinea to Azerbaijan.

As a result, Resolution No. 2580 was adopted, stating that PACE highly appreciates the work of the Monitoring Committee, which oversees the situation in 14 countries. The document expresses concern about the backsliding of democracy and human rights violations in several countries, including Azerbaijan and Georgia.
