
Aliyev and Herzog discussed Azerbaijani-Israeli relations
On January 21, as part of his participation in the Davos Economic Forum, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog.
According to the website of the President of Azerbaijan, the meeting was held on the initiative of the "opposite side".
During the meeting, the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Israel was noted.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere is at a good level.
The parties highly appreciated the work of the joint intergovernmental commission.
It was also noted that "there are traditional, historical friendly relations between Azerbaijanis and Jews".
It was emphasized with satisfaction that all conditions have been created in Azerbaijan for representatives of the Jewish community, along with representatives of other communities, to live in an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and mutual understanding.
