Another Blow to Pashinyans Power
Baku / 09/18/19 / Turan: The Chief of Police of Armenia Valery Osipyan submitted his resignation after a difficult conversation with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a number of Armenian media reported on the morning of September 18.
At a meeting of the Security Council the day before, the Prime Minister demanded that the police unblock the roads leading to the Amulsar gold deposit, closed by activists.
Osipyan expressed doubt that the operation could go smoothly and declared the danger of the use of force.
In response, Pashinyan said that if the police chief is not able to do this, then the operation will be carried out by the commander of the police forces, Vahe Ghazaryan.
The conversation in elevated tones led to the fact that Osipyan submitted his resignation.
Recall that a day earlier a similar conflict occurred between Pashinyan and the head of the National Security Service, Vanetsyan, who also resigned. In an official statement, he actually accused the head of government of incompetence and inability to solve tasks at the state level. -02D-
