Appointed PACE rapporteur on Karabakh
October 1 at the meeting of the Political Committee of the PACE a rapporteur was appointed to prepare a report on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories. This speaker is British MP Robert Walter.
This was reported by the Azerbaijani MP Elkhan Suleymanov, who attended the Committee’s meeting.
According to him, 35 MPs voted for his candidacy. Another candidate, French MP, former head of the PACE Jean-Claude Mignon scored three votes.
The official website of the Council of Europe has not yet informed of the appointment. -16D-
