Baku/14.04.14/Turan : Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev approved March 12 with his decrees the structure and position of the Ministry of Energy .
The Ministry structure includes his staff numbering 140 persons, Office of the State Energy Supervision - 262 people , and State Control Office - 130 people.
The Cabinet of Ministers was commissioned within three months to submit proposals to the President and make changes in laws and regulations .
According to the Regulation , the Ministry of Energy is the central body responsible for state policy and regulation in the energy field.
In order to improve governance structures since October 22, 2013 presidential orders made structural changes in the two ministries. On the basis of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan the Ministry of Economy and Industry was established, and on the basis of the Ministry of Industry and Energy the Ministry of Energy was created.
The Department of Energy has been functioning since 2001. --0--

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
