Armenian Defense Ministry aggravates the situation at the front?
Yerevan/12.01.15/Turan-ArmInfo: In Armenia the commanders of battalions are allowed to suppress themselves "acts of sabotage and attacks from the Azerbaijani side." The corresponding order has already been compiled by the Armenian Defense Minister, Seyran Ohanyan.
At the meeting on January 12 Ohanyan said that the order consists of seven points, suggesting enhancement of combat duty at the front, the improvement of the monitoring system, increase alertness of advanced units of Armenian armed forces.
"We must resolutely punish the enemy committing acts of sabotage, and in some cases, to apply preventive measures. From now on, commanders of battalions and companies, learning the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy, will have the right to independently develop and implement preventive actions. I call on everyone to give commanders that freedom," said Ohanian, referring to the Generals.
Commenting on this statement by Ohanian, military experts in Azerbaijan believe that the situation on the line of confrontation will aggravate. If the local commanders have the right to decide when and how to open fire, the situation could very quickly get out of control of the central command. All this will inevitably lead to retaliatory measures by Azerbaijan, the expert said. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has not commented on the words by Ohanian. -02D-
