Gamet Suleymanov: West itself generates radicalism
“I strongly condemn the terrorist act committed in Paris,” said Gamet Suleymanov, the head of the religious community of the mosque "Abu Bakr", commenting on the terrorist attack on the satirical magazine «Charlie Hebdo.» "Terror has no connection with Islam, which is clearly against terror," said Suleimanov. He drew attention to the fact that the terrorist attack in Paris was preceded by anti-Islamic actions in Germany. Therefore, the attack on the magazine can hide certain political intentions.
"But we condemn terrorism and regard it as a crime against humanity," said Suleimanov. At the same time, he pointed to the inadmissibility of insulting religious saints. Cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad have also drawn on radicalism.
"Radicals are interested in the closure of mosques, there was pressure on the Muslims, because it gives them the field for activities and presenting themselves as "saviors" of religion, says Suleimanov.
He suggested that Muslims in Europe now will be subjected to harassment and pressure, and does not exclude the growth of anti-Islamic movement. Some states are interested in this, and will stir up the situation, he said.
As for the fight against radical Muslim world, it's not just Muslims, but a worldwide problem. "The policy of the West towards the Islamic countries is that it creates radicalism. Events in Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Afghanistan and Pakistan is a cause of radicalism. Radicalism should be prevented, otherwise its attractiveness will be kept," said Suleymanov.-05B-
