Armenian Foreign Ministry distorts Ilham Aliyev's statement
Baku/21.04.21/Turan: The statements of the Armenian Foreign Ministry about the alleged threats voiced in the statement of President Ilham Aliyev against the territorial integrity of this country are not wealthy and false. Instead of fulfilling the points of the trilateral statement, Armenia is trying to deceive the world community. This is how the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva commented on yesterday's statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
She noted that in his interview on April 20, the President of Azerbaijan spoke about Armenia's revanchism towards Azerbaijan and the possible threat from its side. The Armenian Foreign Ministry is trying to distort and present what Aliyev said in a light favorable for Yerevan.
“If we find a possible threat, we will immediately destroy it ... because this is national defense, a matter of national security,” Aliyev said. These words are not a threat to the territorial integrity of Armenia, but an indicator of determination to respond to any threat from Armenia, Abdullayeva noted.
Aliyev also stated that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with Armenia, despite the genocide committed at the state level against Azerbaijanis, the destruction of historical, cultural and religious monuments of Azerbaijan, for we must look to the future.
“As has been repeatedly stated at the highest level, Azerbaijan is ready to normalize relations with Armenia on the basis of the principles of international law, in particular, sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders. The implementation of the trilateral declarations signed on November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021 is aimed precisely at this. Unfortunately, instead of fulfilling the points of these declarations, Armenia is misleading its people and trying to deceive the world community,” Abdullayeva said. --06D-
