Armenians shelled Azerbaijani positions in Nakhchivan and Lachin
Baku/22.08.23/Turan: On August 21, from 22:50 to 02:05, units of the Armenian armed forces intermittently shelled positions of the Azerbaijani army with large-caliber small arms in the direction of the settlements of Garagach in the Sadarak district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Minkend in the Lachin region.
The units of the Azerbaijani army took retaliatory measures in all these areas, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported.
Besides, the press release further states that on August 22, from 06:15 to 07:20, Armenian armed formations in Karabakh attempted to establish long-term fortifications in front of the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of Terter, Khojaly and Aghdam regions.
As a result of the urgent measures taken by the units of the Azerbaijani army, the fortification work was immediately stopped, the press release concludes.
