Arrest of Advisor of Musavat Chairman Extended
The Lankaran district court extended by 1 month the arrest of the advisor of the Musavat Party's head, Yadigar Sadygov. The decision was taken by the court on August 24.
Sadygov was arrested on June 27 as a suspect on the basis of the complaints of a veteran of the Karabakh war Rashid Karimov, who lives in Lankaran. The local police prosecuted him by article 221.3 (hooliganism committed with weapons or objects used as weapons) of the Criminal Code. June 29 the Lankaran district court chose a measure against Sadygov - detention for two months.
Sadygov and the Musavat party claim the fabricated nature of the criminal case for political reasons. According to the party, Kerimov was previously prosecuted on drugs and the authorities use him for the criminal prosecution of Sadygov. -0 -
