Azerbaijan does not need a new war - Ilham Aliyev /UPDATED/

Baku/08.11.23/Turan: Baku does not need a new war, but if Armenia tries to take revenge, counting on its patrons, then no force is capable of threatening Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev made this message today in Khankendi at a military parade on the occasion of Victory Day.

“By shedding blood on the battlefield and giving martyrs, we showed to them that Karabakh is Azerbaijan. Today everyone should know that no one can joke with us. If the Armenian leadership cherishes some revanchist sentiments, if the countries that are used to manipulations behind Armenia still prepare some insidious plans against Azerbaijan, let them take a look at today's parade. Let them know that more than a thousand of our brave men are lined up here, and we have more than 100,000 brave men like them. No force can threaten us. We are ready to fight on any level, we have shown this on the political and, if necessary, on the military front,” President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said.

At the same time, he emphasized that Azerbaijan “does not need a new war.” 

““We don't need a new war. We have achieved what we wanted, we have restored international law, we have restored historical justice, we have restored our national dignity, and we have shown the enemy where it belongs. The enemy has knelt before us, and today I am here addressing the Victorious Armed Forces. We have fulfilled all the tasks, but at the same time, from now on, the army building will be one of the priority issues for us. Azerbaijani Armed Forces held military parade in Khankendi

Baku/08.11.23/Turan: A military parade of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was held on 8 November on the day of liberation of the city of Shusha and in honour of the third anniversary of the end of the Second Karabakh War.

Units of different types and branches of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces marched solemnly through the main square of the city.

Military equipment captured from Armenians during the hostilities was also demonstrated.

Addressing the servicemen, head of state Ilham Aliyev said that today Azerbaijan celebrates restoration of justice and liberation of its lands from occupation.

The valiant Azerbaijani army drove out the occupants three years ago and realised the dream of the people to return to their native lands.

Those who dream of revenge should remember that the iron fist is in place and if necessary, it will smash the heads of the occupants again, Aliyev said. -0-
