Azerbaijan is an important partner of Poland-Rau
Baku/23.09.21/Turan: On the eve of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov met with Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau.
The Ministers exchanged views on issues of bilateral cooperation, including political dialogue, expansion of economic ties, deepening of strategic partnership, as well as interaction within the framework of international organizations.
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union, including Baku's participation in the Eastern Partnership, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated.
Besides, the sides exchanged views on cooperation in the OSCE with due regard for Poland's chairmanship in this organization next year.
It ought to be noted that Bayramov told about new realities in the region following the results of the 44-day war and the trilateral statement of November 10, 2020. Azerbaijan is interested in ensuring the long-term peace and stability in the region, and with that end in view, the country is steering on this track.
At the same time, Bayramov emphasized, Armenia goes on hindering the stability in the region by continuing its provocations.
Note that Rau expressed interest in developing relations with Azerbaijan as stressing the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region. He pointed out that Azerbaijan is an important partner of Poland, so Warsaw will do its best to develop relations in all spheres.—06D-

Activist Nijat Ibrahim, who was detained in Baku pre-trial detention center-1, inflicted numerous wounds on himself on November 20 in protest against unjustified criminal prosecution, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan. According to her, on November 21, her husband called her and informed her that the day before he had inflicted incised wounds on himself with a piece of mirror. In particular, he cut his throat and ears.
