Azerbaijan received 130 of its citizens from Dagestan
Baku/09.06.20/Turan: Today, 130 citizens arrived in Azerbaijan from Russia, among those who had been in Dagestan for many weeks awaiting admission to their homeland.
Nevertheless, at least 500 people are still waiting at the border to return to their country. This was reported to Turan by residents of the camp created by the Russian Emergencies Ministry near the border village of Kullar.
“Every day the heat intensifies. Why our state dooms us to such torment, we are ashamed of our country. Is it really so difficult to transport us to Azerbaijan and put them in tents,” said one of those on the Dagestan border for a month and a half.
A hunger strike that began six days ago, demanding accelerated border crossings, was suspended today.
Representatives of the older generation persuaded the young people to suspend the hunger strike, as it weakens the immune system. In addition, congestion and lack of distance contribute to the spread of the virus. —06B-
