Azerbaijan sends a note to the Foreign Ministry of Armenia for arms supply
In connection with delivery of arms amounting $200 million by Russia, the official Baku has sent a protest note to the Russian Foreign Ministry. On Wednesday the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev said that, Azerbaijan has repeatedly brought to the attention of the international community that Armenia purchased weapons, and military equipment is placed on the occupied territories of Azerbaijan without the consent of the exporting country. Thus, Armenia is grossly violating its international legal obligations, as well as the regime and transparent control on arms. Thus, Armenia is increasing its military presence in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, Hajiyev said.
Azerbaijan demands from the exporting country, Russia, assurances of non-use of the sold arms and military equipment on the occupied Azerbaijani territories, as well as along the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, said Foreign Ministry spokesman of Azerbaijan.—06D-
