As part of the plan of combat training of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, unannounced inspections were carried out at units of the Air Force and the Air Defense Force. As the Defense Ministry press service said, they tested military training of the personnel, practical skills and the possibility of using weapons close to combat conditions.
Shots from the Ildyrym (Lightning) anti-aircraft missile complex were carried out and the task to detect and destroy cruise missiles and low-flying targets of the conditional enemy was fulfilled.

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
