Azerbaijani Defense Ministry: Armenians Fire on Civilians
On January 3 units of the armed forces of Armenia, using large-caliber weapons, anti-tank rocket launchers, 60 and 82-mm mortars, opened intense fire on positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces and front-line settlements. This was said in the Jan. 4 report of the Ministry of Defense.
The bombardment of villages and civilian forces causes the Azerbaijani side to take adequate and stringent measures, using all the military resources, which will cause more severe and devastating losses to the armed forces of Armenia and the responsibility for it will be fully borne by the Armenian leadership, the report of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry underscores.
In total, over the past day the enemy violated the ceasefire 64 times.
In particular, the bombardment of Azerbaijani positions in the Gazakh and Tovuz regions from the Ijevan and Berd regions of Armenia is reported.
In addition, the enemy fired at Azerbaijani positions in Tartar, Agdam, Khojavend and Fuzuli in the south and east of Karabakh. In all cases, the Azerbaijani side opened fire in response.
According to local sources, as a result of the fire, damage was caused to private households in the Agdam region. -06D--
