Pro-government newspapers receive significant funding
The State Fund for Support of Mass Media under the President of the country has allocated 1 million 234,000 manat to 33 newspapers of the country. It is noteworthy that almost all of them are pro-government, or have close ties with the authorities. This significant amount has been allocated for the first half of 2015 "to finance projects submitted by these media," said the official statement. It is also noteworthy that the majority of these newspapers have small-circulation, weekly and are not influential.
Thus, the newspaper "Caspian" (in Azerbaijani and Russian languages) received 60,000 manat for each edition.
"Yeni Azerbaijan", "Ses", "ENI", "Adalat", "525", "Baki Khabar", "Yeni Musavat", "Express" and "Palette" also received 60 thousand manat each.
"Parallels", "Hafta ichi", "Azad Azerbaijan", "Sharq", "Khalq Cepesi", "Football + goal", "Bizim Yol", "Olaylar" received 40 thousand manat each.
"New time", "Futbool +", "Uch nail", "Azernyus" received 30 thousand manats.
"UNICAL", "Olympia dunyasi", "Oxy meni", "Zaman Azerbaijan" received 20 thousand manat each.
"Rating", "Tehsil problemlyari», "The Business Times", «Herbi And", "Turkistan", "Istiglaliyyat" received 9,000 manat ech.
At the same time, the country's most popular newspaper, the opposition "Azadlig" received nothing. No funds have been allocated for the restoration of the publication of the most influential Russian-language newspaper "Zerkalo"(Mirror.) -05D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
