Bako Sahakyan Visits British Parliament - the Armenian media
Yerevan / 09.07.15 / Turan- ArmInfo: The leader of Karabakh separatists visited the British Parliament and spoke there on July 8, the Armenian media reported.
To whom Sahakyan addressed has not been reported. The press service of the separatists said that in his speech Sahakyan touched upon the processes in Karabakh and the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and answered questions from the audience.
Sahakyan said that Karabakh has special attitude to the UK, recognizing it as influential power and the cradle of democracy and European civilization. According to him, Karabakh is interested in deepening the inter-parliamentary relations and the development of relations with Great Britain in the scientific, educational and humanitarian spheres.
The President noted that this optimism is due primarily to the presence of sincere and devoted friends of Karabakh and the Armenian people in the British Parliament.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Armenia to the UK, Armen Sargsyan. -02D-
