Baku rejects Paris accusations over establishment of checkpoint in Lachin
Baku/24.04.23/Turan: Establishment of a checkpoint on its sovereign territory by Azerbaijan is a legitimate right of the country. Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayhan Hajizadeh commented on the statement of Anne-Claire Legendre, press secretary of the French Foreign and European Affairs Ministry, which was made in connection with the April 23 checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
"The claim that this step contradicts the Trilateral Statement, any international document or court decision has no basis whatsoever. Azerbaijan, as always, within the framework of its obligations, guarantees the security of citizens, vehicles and cargo moving on the Lachin-Khankandi road and will continue to take appropriate measures in this direction," he said. -06В-
