Baku urged Yerevan to provide information about missing in the First Karabakh war
Baku/08.02.22/Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry urged the international community to demand that Armenia fulfill its obligations and provide information about citizens of Azerbaijan missing in the First Karabakh War. This is reported in a statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued on February 8.
Azerbaijan released eight Armenian servicemen on February 7. In response, the Armenian side must provide information about the military and civilians of Azerbaijan who died during the first war, and the places of their burial, the document says.
The statement of the spokesman of the Armenian Foreign Ministry that Yerevan has not taken such obligations is evidence of Armenia's disrespect for international humanitarian law and the principle of humanism, says the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. -02D-
