Bidzina Ivanishvili was received in Azerbaijan with special honor
Tbilisi/27.12.12/Turan-BSPRESS: Azerbaijani officials met Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili with a special honor, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze told journalists after the visit to Baku.
Panjikidze was part of the government delegation that arrived on Wednesday in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
"This is the first visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Azerbaijan. They received him with a special honor, which is very nice to us," said Panjikidze.
Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said that he no longer sees problems with the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.
Responding to a question about the gas tariffs, the Prime Minister said that Azerbaijan sells gas to Georgia at a very affordable price. "I thanked the President and the head of the government of Azerbaijan for the conditions created for Georgia," he said.
According to Ivanishvili, Azerbaijan exports gas to Georgia at a price slightly higher than prices in Azerbaijan itself. The Prime Minister said reserves for reduction in the gas tariff are to be found in Georgia.
The Prime Minister shared with Georgian journalists impressions of meetings with the leadership of Azerbaijan. "I saw that it is a real state, which carries out a great job for the people," he said.
The Azerbaijani leadership shrewdly relates to state governance. "After the meeting with the President and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, I was convinced that our countries have excellent relations. If there are any minor issues between us, we can solve them in a friendly atmosphere," said the Prime Minister. -02D-

Armenia is not against the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, but does not consider it appropriate to discuss this issue now. "In the context of peace, we consider it possible to make a decision on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group. When peace is an established fact, the existence of such a format may raise questions," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference today. "The whole question is about the timing, we need to understand how effectively and correctly to turn such topics into a subject of discussion right now," the Armenian Prime Minister added.

On August 31, Azerbaijan observes a "day of silence" before the Sunday’s early parliamentary elections for the unicameral Milli Majlis. All electoral campaigning is prohibited 24 hours before the voting. The early elections were initiated by the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party. This decision was motivated by the overlap of the scheduled elections in November with the global UN forum - the COP20 climate conference taking place in Baku.

Currently, the plant's staff is working on restarting the facility.
