Blogger M. Huseynov for 4.5 hours questioned in the Prosecutor General"s Office
An employee of the Institute of Reporters Freedom and Safety (IRFS) and blogger Mehman Huseynov yesterday for 4.5 hours was questioned by the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor for Serious Crimes as a witness in the case of the arrested activists of NIDA.
He still on April 30 was summoned for questioning. However, the investigation shifted the questioning on May 2.
On Thursday, Huseynov was accompanied by the lawyer Elchin Sadigov, the lawyer of IRFS Gunay Ismailova and the brother of the blogger - IRFS Director Emin Huseynov.
However, the latter was not allowed to be present as a legal representative. This was motivated by the fact that Huseynov would also be involved in the case as a witness.
According to Huseynov, he accompanied M. Huseynov also on 30 April, but then they did not say anything that he might be a witness in the case.
M. Huseynov and the lawyer Sadigov did not comment on the content of the questioning in connection with their written commitment of not divulging the secrets of the investigation.
For the last two months the officials arrested 7 youth activists of NIDA, who are charged with illegal possession of explosives and / or illegal possession of drugs. -06C –
