On Saturday December 29 the body of Sevinj Babayeva that died in the Istanbul clinic Medicana will be delivered to Baku, Turkish media reported. According to the same sources, this morning, the autopsy will be conducted.
Sevinj Babayeva was admitted to this hospital with a serious heart attack, but under a different name. Information about the death of Babayeva was reported on Thursday to the Attorney General by the son of the deceased. Immediately after this the information appeared on one of the "independent sites." In this case, prosecutors argued that they had not heard of the death of Babayeva, who was wanted for fraud by Interpol.
Law enforcement agencies are still unable to explain how it happened that Babayeva managed to go abroad and why she was not arrested in Istanbul.
The name of Babayeva, who worked the director of a library in Baku, became known after the controversial video clip, in which she and MP Gular Akhmedova extort $ 1 million from the Rector of the International University, promising to "elect" him a member of parliament. At the same time, the name of the head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, who should get the money, also appears on the video. -02D-
