Burkhalter calls for a meeting of presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan
Yerevan/04.06.14/Turan : Meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan may launch a new phase of the negotiations leading to reconciliation, said the President of Switzerland, OSCE Chairman, Didier Burkhalter, at a press conference in Yerevan.
Burkhalter stressed the importance of the Minsk Group format . "I express my full respect for the format to solve this difficult problem. It's really difficult, and we do not underestimate its importance, " he said.
The status quo does not promise prospects , and must try to go step by step to the world, to strengthen the ceasefire and to stimulate the mechanism to investigate incidents on the contact line , which is still not implemented , Burkhalter said.
