CEC Limits Itself to Canceling Election Results in Precincts
Baku / 21.02.20 / Turan: On February 20, the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan canceled the results of parliamentary elections in 11 precincts of the 125th Zangilan-Gubadli constituency.
The voting results were also invalidated in 4 polling stations of the 23rd Nasimi-Sabail constituency.
The election results were canceled in 5 precincts of the 57th Kurdamir constituency and 1 precinct of the 107th Gazakh constituency.
These decisions, adopted by the CEC today, however, did not affect the overall election results in these constituencies.
CEC meetings are held daily amid protests by candidates for deputies against a biased investigation of complaints. –06D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.

On February 5, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to the document, the Ministry of Energy has been allocated 1 million US dollars to purchase and send electrical equipment, manufactured in Azerbaijan, to Ukraine.
