Baku/22.06.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with British Foreign Minister James Cleverley within the framework of the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine in London.
"The sides stressed the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the UK and discussed joint steps to expand them. Further strengthening of cooperation aimed at ensuring stability and peace in the region was emphasized," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.
In turn, Cleverley thanked Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov for Azerbaijan's humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Cleverley wrote about this on Twitter.
"The UK stands for prosperity, peace and security in the South Caucasus," he stressed.
Cleverley also believes that "the historic peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is close."
