CMD Condemns Shooting in Charlie Hebdo
"We the Muslims condemn killing and violence anywhere in the world." This is stated in the statement of the Caucasus Muslims Department (CMD) made on the terrorist attack against the magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
"The perpetrators of this evil must answer before God and before the civil law," CMD stated.
"A terrorist act under the guise of protecting the honor of the Prophet or the religion is an attempt to abuse the values of religion. Such actions are contrary to the Islamic religion," the document noted.
CMD at the same time encouraged everyone to be careful in sensitive matters of religion and to show tolerance and take into account the religious feelings of people. -05D-
