Co-chairs Present "Creative Ideas" - Elmar Mammadyarov
Baku / 18.01.18 / Turan: Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will visit the region in early February to continue discussions on the issues discussed by the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia on January 18.
This was announced by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. According to him, the talks lasted about 6 hours. First, Mammadyarov met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office. Then, with the participation of the co-chairs, the Azerbaijani Minister met with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. Then the Ministers spoke face to face.
In conclusion, Mammadyarov met with the mediators again.
"The co-chairs presented a number of creative ideas on the Karabakh settlement," Mammadyarov said in the press release of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
In his view, the talks were "in principle, in a positive light."
According to Mammadyarov, in order to continue discussions based on the ideas presented, the co-chairs will visit the region in early February.
"The common approach is that to achieve progress in the settlement, ensure peace and stability in the region, it is necessary to continue intensive, substantive and logical negotiations," Mammadyarov said. -06D--
