Baku/23.11.22/Turan: On November 23, a joint meeting of Foreign, Defense Ministers and Secretaries of the Security Councils of the member-states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization began in Yerevan.
Later, a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council will be held under the chairmanship of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The members of the Collective Security Council will discuss topical issues of international and regional security and the main results of the CSTO's activities in the period between meetings, Armenpress reports.
"One of the most important issues will be the improvement of the CSTO crisis response system and the discussion of joint measures to assist the Republic of Armenia."
During the meeting, it is planned to adopt a declaration of the Collective Security Council.
A number of documents will also be signed concerning the equipping of the CSTO peacekeeping forces with modern weapons, military and special equipment; the formation of joint radiation, chemical and biological protection.
In view of the rotation from January 1, 2023, the issue of the CSTO Secretary General will also be discussed. -02D-
