Disarmament in Karabakh continues
Baku/23.09.23/Turan: On Friday and Saturday, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense distributed video footage of captured and destroyed separatist military equipment in Karabakh. A list of weapons taken as trophies has also been published. Among them: 4 tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, 14 cannons, 12 mortars, 22 grenade launchers, 313 machine guns and machine guns, the Thor system and 50 missiles for it, 28 portable anti-aircraft systems, as well as a large number of grenades, cartridges, etc. The disarmament process continues, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
In turn, the Karabakh separatists confirmed on Saturday that, in accordance with an agreement with Azerbaijan, the withdrawal of Armenian forces from combat positions continues, “their transfer to places of permanent deployment in parallel with the process of disbanding the Army.” Work is also underway to search for the dead and missing, transportation of the wounded to medical institutions in Armenia, accompanied by the Red Cross and Russian peacekeepers. At the same time, humanitarian supplies, medicines, essential goods and fuel are being imported.
